Just got my two Championship L Injectors. They are NOS, but there is a musty aroma from the cardboard. Now to decide which one to use and which one to save. I am anxiously waiting to use the ultra Platinum blades, bit that will not be until open comb October is over.
Are they from the 72 or the 76 Olympics?

I've never seen those before, but they sure look cool.  Please let us know how they shave!

Please tell me about these ultra platinum blades.  I have two Schick J models but have yet to acquire any blades to try them with.  Are they different from the Persona and Chinese Schicks you see on Amazon?  Cool looking razors you have there.

The great new-old-stock Schick blades are the Plus Platinum blades, usually from the 70's.   They are superb, better -- IMHO -- than anything now obtainable.   The Schick Chinese blades and the current Personnas (variously branded) are, however, good blades.

I'm guessing 1976, Montreal, only because of the French on the packages.  Nor sure, but think that the Schicks didn't make it to Munich.  Plus, the Plus Plats were from the late 70's, based on my championship razor.  Nice pair!

I was lucky enough to purchase one as well and the first shave was a little rough (chalk it up to new razor or fresh blade) but the last two were like butter!  I would love to get a bunch of these NOS Holland blades, very similar (so far) to my coveted P74 injector blades.

Had my first shave with my new NOS Championship L,  and the "Ultra Platinum" Blades made in Holland. An L Injector is an L Injector, but the made in Holland blades are extremely sharp and smooth. A great shave today.

The ULTRA PLATINUM blades are excellent. They are way ahead of the Chinese Schick blades, smooth and sharp.

I've gotten about twelve shaves on this first ultra platinum blade. It is still sharp and very smooth (at least in the championship schick). I have also a p74 loaded in a type N which gives a very similar experience. When these blades finally wear out I will have to swap the setup to see if the results are the same.

Roderick,
This is a beautiful razor! How do you rate the aggressiveness? Comparison to other injectors?

The razor is the same as any of the "L" types. What makes the difference is the Dutch blades. The are incredibly smooth and sharp.

Are the Dutch blades readily available or are they NOS?

I'm thinking the Dutch blades have faded away like the other really good Injectors, the Plus Platinums and Personna 74's of that approximate era.  Never seen the Dutch available, unlike their contemporaries that will pop up once in a while

They are NOS, and they came with the injector. You can still find some on the bay overseas.

Nice razors. Those will be good for your 4th of July shaves.
