A few weeks back I posted a thread stating I was disappointed to receive a bottle of Village Barber balm with a best by date of January 2015. West Coast Shaving, the vendor, sent a replacement. But I also contacted Iain Kane, the Village Barber himself, and he assured me that the balm was still good. He also said he would direct WCS to be sure to send the replacement posthaste, and that I should keep the original bottle with his compliments. 

Just got an email from him following up to see whether everything had been sorted, as it has.

That kind of follow up is one of the key reasons I love dealing with artisans. There are artisans and there are artisans, and Iain is an A+rtisan in every sense.
