I would love to buy all four brushes.  I'm afraid the Minion is the only thing that the budget will allow.  GLWTS!

Chrisss- save yourself some potential loss. There are legal forms you can fill out declaring your ivory object 'PREBAN' and legal to sell and ship worldwide.
Your Simpson is both LOVELY and obviously preban by it's patination and cracking. But it only takes one customs official to seize it in transit. Christopher

www.ivoryexperts.com I worked with them years ago as a volunteer at the Pacific Asian Museum. I believe September 1987 was our US Fish and Wildlife total ban on ivory imports. ALL domestic preban ivory must have a form even traded or sold within the US. I have a tiny ivory Rhinocerous my father brought back from Japan 1960 I don't even contemplate selling for the hassle. Imagine firearms with ivory grips, musical instruments, jewelry, furniture inlay, artwork all
extant and a potential seizure. It's a PITA, but given the bleak future of Elephants alone justified.

I recall reading that Gary Young (great nephew of Alexander Simpson, founder of Simpson Shaving brushes) handmade this ivory brush at the original Nimmer Mill factory, in Somerset, England. Just the story alone makes it worth collecting, much less it being a rare and sweet looking brush.

I have a better chance of being struck by lightning than this brush getting confiscated by the postal service. Just isn't going to happen...

The Simpson brush is horrendously tempting, especially after having gotten an Ivory brush, this being Ivory, this being Simpson, and the history behind it... A6

+1 the ivory brush I allegedly sold made it to its new home no problem.  Shipped within US via usps priority.  All of this is hypothetically speaking of course.

That Simpson is sooooo nice ...

Babeando  Babeando  Babeando  Babeando  Babeando  Babeando  Babeando  Babeando

It really deserves a loving owner who will cherish it and use it every day until they die.
