Never used a 2 piece unless Gillette Fusion counts.

I guess the old stand-by Merkur 34c would be my favorite. I must admit it's the only one I can recall using.

I don't own one anymore.  Would have been the Futur though, if past razors count.

Merkur progress. I've got the futur,37c 39c. The long handled progress is the only one I care for.

Not sure I know exactly which are two piece, but going off the original post I'm still confused.  I've used some if not all,  does a Merkur 37/39 qualify as "two piece" because of the split ring that holds the knob in?  In that ilk, far, far better were the Gillette New Improveds (though they lacked the ring, so could be broken into three parts)  ..

So, going only on what I can imagine, I'd second the Gillette Belmont, as i can make the Merkurs into three pieces pretty easily ..

The Merkur 37/39 is a 2-piece design, because you only need to split it into two pieces, when you shave with it.

If you want to clean it, you can remove the inner part of the handle, making it now a 3-piece razor.
