Went to a family reunion today out of town. On the way home I saw a large yard sale and said what the heck. Came across this little beauty. I will say it was no beauty when I found it! This is about an hours worth of cleaning.

I was wondering if I can still obtain blades for it and how's the shave with them?  If unable to find blades I'm not to worried. Will still look nice in my collection.

I believe that's a Durham Duplex. I'm honestly not sure where to get blades but I'm sure someone will chime in soon.

Thanks Lance. I was just about to post that I may be wrong. Googling trying to find blades showed nothing like this. Sextoblade were made by Weck. Apparently I have a different monster. Changed the title name.

Will do. If it turns out to be a decent shaver I'll get some more blades and may do a pass around with it for those interested in trying. I searched and found its supposed to have a 2nd attachment other than the OC one that allows it to be an open blade like a straight. May have to track one down.

Otherwise, The blades from the large carpet cutter devices will work with judicious honing and stropping. Not the smaller HF ones though.

I have most of the Durham Duplex razors in my collection and the Personna blades work well, but can be a bit tuggy.  These razors shave extremely mildly when used properly, but I have been unable to get that ultra-close shave that I desire with them.  I have also tried the carbon steel carpet blades, also made by Personna, and they tug even worse than the stainless pathology blades.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm not one for tuggy razors but will still give it a run just to say I have lol.
