Call me crazy but I like an aftershave splash that burns my face, the better the burn the better the splash, at least that's what my brain thinks anyway.

I'm not big into aftershave like some guys here and right now as far as splashes go I have fine and PAA. PAA is a really good splash and I like the fact that it has alum in it. Fine is good also.

So now to my question because I'm kind of running low and I need to grab another bottle . What should I get ? I've tried the clubman aftershave and didn't really care for it.

Think I may get some captains choice as from most accounts it's good stuff. Thanks in advance

For burn, I recommend Captain's Choice Cat O'Nine Tails.

Does the scent linger for awhile? I'm not a fan of bayrum but if it doesn't last long I may give it a shot.

It depends on what your definition of "awhile" is. 3-5 hours later, I still get a whiff.

If you want to skip the scent go with Fine Snake Bite. Otherwise Cat O Nine.

I've got the fine snake bite it's good stuff and I enjoy it, pair it with Chiseled face cryogen and you can't feel your face for 30 minutes ,no joke.

I ordered the cat o nine tails, beside the reviews that describe the scent as a ham baking in the oven with cloves on it.

If I don't like it I'll just get another bottle of fine. For personal reasons that have nothing to do with the performance of a product I won't support PAA,but that's neither here nor there just the reason why I don't just get more of it.

Don't let the nice bottle fool you. This special reserve is the hottest stuff I've ever used.

The Swiss Pitralon is liked for a short but definite aftershave burn sensation.

I thought I may be one of the only to enjoy a good burn! Another that can give some sting is good old Aqua Velva. Not hard to find and, IMHO, a classic for a reason!

There don't seem to be a whole lot of aftershaves I can use - most seem to aggravate my allergies. But in my limited aftershave experience, I'd say Clubman Virgin Island Bay Rum burns a lot. I've heard others say the same. The scent doesn't seem to linger for too long.

I don't know what it is about the burn. I know when I have a bad shave I'll reach for the most painful aftershaves.  There's been times I've had to grab a towel and fan my almost purple face. T me though and I've felt this way before the days of wetshaving when I sprayed my cologne on my neck for razorburn. The more burn the better the aftershave and the faster it heals you. I have no proof except for my own experience though.

The more burn the better the aftershave
My thoughts too...
