I used to have longer hair. I would just wash my hair and while wet I worked a small amount of chi into it. It's not cheap buts it's good. I also used biosilk as well. Also had good luck with the garnier fructise spray leave in sprays. Jump out of the shower and towel dry a little bit, apply chi and work it in. A little goes along way with chi and too much of any products i listed will look oily. Anyway work the chi in  with your hands . I would work mine in like I was going to slick my hair back,aND only use my hands because a brush killed the layers. Anyway work it in back words . Use your fingers to style and you'll be good to go.

Not sticky at all. It doesn't look like you have anything in your hair except it's smoother and more shiny.

The stuff isn't a styling gel it's not marketed as one. It's marketed as a leave in conditioner but I found out by accident that it holds like a styling gel does without the wet or crunch look.

My wife begged me to grow my hair out since we were younger and I finally did. I just looked for a reason to cut it and finally I was able to style ot how I wanted it. Like I said via pm if you have a tj max near you look there it's like 10 bucks if there if they have it,which they usually do.

tried me wife's pantene and aussie leave in sprays but both are super sticky when they dry. they work well but i hate when my hair is sticky. lol i went through high school during the hair metal era i used more then my share of aquanet and def do not want that anymore Eusa_whistle

i have the opposite problem with my wife she basically wants it one step above shaved. i have zero issue with anyone who shaves their head and it does look great on some guys but i hate that look on me. trying to find some middle ground where it looks nicer

Now the garnier? ?? Sprays leave it sticky like the aussie does.

I know the feeling with the hair spray, as a young  kid my mom would comb my hair and hit it with white rain. I could go through a tornado and still look the same lol. Wife is screaming over my shoulder to say try biosilk lol.

She's all about some hair products and she says chi and biosilk are both great ,if you use a hair dryer chi works a lot better but if you don't blow dry the both work basically the same just whichever one is cheaper.

Try this stuff (but find it elsewhere for cheaper). http://www.amazon.com/Kevin-Murphy-Night...B003PDI2QI

If it's too strong of a hold, use less or switch to his cream products.  If it's not strong enough try his gritty business version.

At this point I don't put anything in my hair though.

i've used bumble and bumble sumotech for a few years. I have found it to be the best product I've tried for a natural non oily feel and look.  It's pricey but I get about six months out of a tub.

Murdock matt mudd. I had the same issue, I have thick hair and wanted hold minus slick/wet/greasy look. This is the best stuff I have found over the years of searching.

Try Shu Uemura clay definer. By far the best product for this IMO

Maybe try American Crew fiber. It doesn't look greasy as long as you don't overdo it.

Murdock matt mudd it is sensational. Smells good and doesn't leave a slick look in the slightest. Whole day hold. So good i had to post twice! Smile

My natural messy look is achieved by running my fingers through my hair in the morning and using a good brush in the evening.
