With winter approaching - I am on the lookout for reasonably priced and highly reputed ASBs. Myrsol Emulsion is top of list. I am also considering Myrsol Plastic Shave. Any advice is welcome.

If there are other ASBs that in your view offer an even more compelling value (high quality at good price) - I'd love to hear as well.

Emulsion is the best balm I' ve tried. The scent is very good and the menthol cools and tones the skin. I recommend it for sure.

Also, If you 're interested in a good lotion, Agua Balsamica is one of the best I have.

Agua de Limon is great, but I think that it's better for the summer. Sweet lemon scent with menthol.

Except the Agua Balsamica, all the others Myrsol products have menthol I think.

I would also look into Soap Commander ASB. Great performance and absolute values. The Shea butter is great for post shave feel and with a hint of menthol very refreshing. Non greasy too.

Miquel Ricou Solé, Myrsol's founder, used to use Plastic Shave all his life, it has a keratolytic effect on the skin. Agua Balsamica is also great stuff.

I wanted to try Emulsion but I wasn't sure if it still contains parabens. I don't know whether the quantities used are even an issue, I just try to find products without them. As for other ASBs, I think the very best ASB I've ever used is Village Barber shaving balm. It's not cheap but it's not exorbitant and a little dab will do ya.

I second the vote for Soap Commander's balms as well. Very reasonably priced and excellent. But I do think Village Barber is at the top of the heap.

Yes, it still contains parabens... The only negative I can think of.

Metisol is first on my list. I use it frequently as a tonic whenever my acne is acting up. I also recommend the Agua Balsamica.

I own them all and would not hesitate to recommend any of them.  My faves, Emulsion, Antesol and Agua Balsamica.

The only ones I have tried so far are Metisol, C, and Antesol. All three have great skincare properties but it really depends on what you need the aftershave to do. I'm sure this is the case with the rest of the Myrsol line also.

I would vote for the Emulsion or the Antesol. Both leave my skin feeling great after I use them.

While I'm sure the Emulsion would feel great, I avoided ordering this one solely because of the paraben content. No matter how it would leave the skin feeling, it probably wouldn't be good for skin care due to the properties of parabens Sad.
