Sometimes I am in a hurry and do not have time for a three or four pass shave. Of the DE razors you have used, which one gives the closest one or two pass shave?
For me, it is the Merkur Vision. Yes, the Vision is huge and yes, you have to be careful under the nose. That said, no razor has given me as close of a shave after one or two passes...not even the Cobra Classic.
Which DE razor gives you the best one or two pass shave?

from what I have so far...
I would venture to say a modern adjustable with a blade sharp enough for the user's hair type (coarse/fine, heavy/light growth)
The Progress could easily do a 2-pass very DFS
I am sure the VISION and FUTUR can do the same.
any vintage adjustables that could do it?
maybe an adjustable SS?

Well, yes there are plenty of vintage razors that will do it, but the question was closest.
Personnally, since I took the Tech and SSs out of my cabinet any of the razors still in it will give a 2 1/3 pass BBS (happens everyday), but just a few shave close enough to give me sheets of dead skin cells in the sink.
Yes a vintage Slim or Fatboy set to magical 9 will easily give a 2 1/3 pass BBS (for me). You need to know your face map though, your face my require more passes, or fewer.

+1. Mapping is crucial.
