Just a heads up Vicco, the famous indian vegetarian toothpaste brand have introduced a 'tumeric shave foam cream'.

The 'foam-cream' label put me off slightly; not being keen towards marketing blurb. Yet on use, I understand the distinction. It is a cream consistency from the tube and to be lathered with a brush. But the consistency on the face is somewhat between a cream and foam. Light yet slick, with good density? Very confusing when using soap/cream for years.

Scent is pleasant (fresh, soapy), fresh tumeric being orangey/red give the cream a slight colour and it leaves the skin feeling great. I got mine from a relative. If bought in the UK its around £1.50 for the tube and £5 postage. Well worth a try.

Interesting, especially tumeric having known anti-inflammmatory properties

Yes, as well as healing properties, being a natural anti-septic. To be fair it has a large ingredients list so how much advantage the tumeric base provides is anyone's guess but its still left my skin feeling great Smile

Hasn't Vicco Turmeric cream been around for years? I know I've heard about it. It sounds like this is an offshoot product.

Intresting Nishy...

How was the performance of Vicco shave cream/foam?

Vicco toothpaste has a long standing in India if I remember correctly.

I love this shaving cream. Every time I visit India I buy this stuff for less than a buck and get the best shaves with it. The lather as you mentioned is foamy but dense enough for cushion/slickness. Post shave to is great and the turmeric helps.

Hi, that may well be the case, on my tube it is marketed as a new product but that was purchased in Kenya, not seen it in stores in the UK.

Hello, the performance was very good for its price . It doesn't have the cushion of say Tabac but isn't far off. Slickness and scent is also very good.

I hate the scent, but it produces very good lather and has good skincare.

Nishy, thank you for the heads up. Seems like an interesting new product.

On a side note but somewhat related - Turmeric is indeed amazing. Want an easy and quick remedy for gum pain - mix equal quantity salt and turmeric and massage on the area for a few minutes. Instant relief - works for me every time.
