I'm interested in your opinions on your preferred bay rum soaps.

My favorites as far as scent goes are:
1- Mystic Waters (doesn't really smell like a classic bay rum but it is very nice)
2- Cold River Soap Works (unfortunately discontinued, also not a classic bay rum, very sweet with little spice)
3- Mike's Natural (a more traditional bay rum scent that is very nice)

My favorites as far as performance goes are:
1- Mystic Waters
2- Mike's Natural
3- Cold River Soap Works

I am looking to try out a few more in the coming months and would be interested in your suggestions.  Thanks in advance!

To be honest I am not a big Bay Rum fan but I then again haven't tried many. My first Bay Rum was Stirling's and it is Clove overload which put me off. I think from the description of CRSW I wouldn't mind it but unfortunately, as you say, it is discontinued. I have heard that Dr Jons version is very good!

Mystic Water and First Canadian Bay Rum & Lime.
They smell about the same and both are top performers.

I like MW bay rum..but it doesnt smell like bay rum to me if its scent you're after.  If youve smelled Caties LPV they seem similar- imo. Great scent none the less

I'd easily rank Michelle's Bay Rum in top spot. I also have another B&M Bay Rum en route. I didn't care for Mike's very much, though.

Our CRSW Bay Rum has not been discontinued, just took a little hiatus. You can look for it to be back in stock the first week in November.

The only one I can speak for Is Ogalalla Bay Rum, Limes & Peppercorns -- and I think it's terrific, in particular the scent.

I'm not a fan of cloves which is in most bay rums. My favorite is Barrister & Mann for that reason, a traditional bay rum scent without cloves. I do enjoy Mystic Waters and CRSW, although they don't have the traditional bay rum scent. Great bay rums with cloves are Krampert's Arcadian Spice and Chaptain's Choice.

Most of the ones I've tried don't like my face, but Strop Shoppe's is wonderful. And it happens to be my favorite bay rum scent too!

I like Phoenix Accouterments Bay Rum and L.A. Soap Co. Santa Monica Bay Rum. Particularly the Phoenix which has a nice scent and creamy/slick performance.

If you prefer the scent of Mystic Waters Bay Rum (non-clove) then I suggest you also try Strop Shoppe Bay Rum.  Very similar scent but I slightly prefer the performance of Strop Shoppe.

A fantastic matching aftershave to both is Crown Shaving's "tonic".

Don't enjoy the more traditional/ clove heavy Bay Rums so my Top 3 in terms of scent and performance are:

Stroppe Shoppe
Mystic Waters
First Canadian

B&M-Very sweet smelling bay rum with a nice mellow mix of the orange, benzoin, and cinnamon. No clove in it at all.
