Thinking about building another design, with a little more storage and brush/razor room. My father does ceramic pottery and is making me a bowl. He has made a few before and made a blood letting bowl  he had to explain this item to me.

Yes, especially for the boar brushes. That keeps the moisture and scum out of the area around the knot at the handle. Boar brushes can swell a lot and may break the ferrule.

I had one brush that fits at the knot and one brush fits on the handle. So it's accepting of many brush sizes.
