I had one shave on one of these over a year ago. It was the first all stainless steel razor I got to take on a shave. I fell in love using it just once.

Just recently was able to purchase one. I have learned that the first one I tried and the one I have now are both within generation 1. Today's first shave with mine was fantastic! On tow days of growth, I threw a Kai in and went to town against, across (aggressive direction), across (mild direction) and then finishing with the grain. I didn't get any nicks. Of course the shave was close, but part of that is just from the Kai Wink but the shave was smooth and the finish was incredible.

Reminds me of a shave with a LASSC BBS-1. I am excited to get to shave with this razor and give it some more face shaves and a head shave maiden voyage as well.

Does anyone by any chance use the Tradere heads with an aftermarket handle?

The Tradere website is no longer active and I think that may be the final nail in the coffin. I have been waiting for two years for these to go back into production. It now seems highly unlikely.

I use mine with aftermarket handles, usually UFOs.  I have three UFOs:  a Kaiser short, a Titan Fine L, and a custom Kaiser that is longer than a short and has 1 mm more girth.  The Kaisers are both stainless steel; of course the Titan Fine L is titanium.

All handles work great with the Tradere head, but the longer handles balance better, so I no longer use the Kaiser short with it.

I had someone reply to a WTB thread and sold me their razor on here.

Thanks for the thoughts on the handles kingfisher. I may try it with a UFO soon but I don't mind the stock handle and its length. I do wish it was a bit wider.

I am going to try my second shave out with it today. Any blades you guys love with the Tradere?

I like the stock handle, too.  I have two of them.  One of the first generation and one of the second generation.  The first-generation handle is a bit longer, has a longer and wider flared end, and has much finer knurling.  It balances really well with the razor.

I, too, wish the Tradere handle were a little bit wider, although when I am shaving with it, it doesn't really seem to bother me much.  My custom Kaiser is the best of the UFOs; it's heavy enough and long enough to make it so the razor isn't too head-heavy.  I think the Tradere with my custom Kaiser is a slightly better razor than it is with the stock handle.  But the difference isn't huge.

I prefer to use Polsilver SIs with this razor, but then again it's my favorite blade for all my razors, so take it with a grain of salt.

Harvey you have the perfect Tradere universe! Gen 1 and 2 open combs, and the solid bar. Very nice!

I use an aftermarket handle. Triad made me my perfect handle which is a 14.5 x 100mm handle. And I've also had to try out both my SB and OC 1st Gen on a brand new UFO Goliath(that's right, he still makes handles!)
