Hello,
Wondering for users that like to load blade and junk after one use. Price $15 and lower for 100 blades.
I use ATT R1 and love my KAI blades that last me daily for the week.
I have tried the Astra PS and they seem to be the lower end of the Astra SS. So far for me the SS is giving me one good shave pretty close to a KAI shave.

Shark Super Chromes work pretty well for my face, and are very sharp.  My go to are Feathers, but unless you upped the reps they are too costly for you.  For One and Done I say see the Shark

Thanks, I see they have super chrome and super stainless. Have you tried both? Is this like Astra PS vs SS. Lol.

I have tried both, some years ago (maybe 2010 or so) and didn't find a big difference.  I like the Chromes better just for the plastic tuck for blade protection and disposal.  There used to be a series of tests, with ratings and microscopic photos of the edges, etc. somewhere in the various forums, but haven't a clue where to find it now

I think my vote would go to the PermaSharp Super blades.

Yes, the KAIs are best, and last a week’s worth of shaves (or so).  But for a blade you won’t feel guilty tossing after one use (but will last a week if you want it to), it is hard to beat the Rapira Swedish Supersteel.

Are those better than Rapira super stainless or about the same one day shave.

I confess that I never have tried either the Rapira Super Stainless or the Rapira Platinum Lux, and so have no opinion on Rapira blades other than the Swedish Supersteel.

HOWEVER, I do have some cohort support as to the Rapira Swedish Supersteel:
here, and
here.

I have used both Astras and I prefer the SP over the stainless. Another very similar blade is the Gillette Silver Blue. I haven't tried the Gillette Platinum but wonder if it might be even better for my taste like the Astra SP is. I am good with my Kai blades though, and for a one use blade the Feather would probably be my favorite, which actually only is good for two shaves for me.

I found a good review on all 5 Rapira's comparing. They claim the platinum Lux are best with the Swedish just behind. Also claim they are little sharper than the Astra.

I tried the shark chrome this morning. Not bad but Astra SS was still smoother and sharper.

Just tried Rapira Super Stainless this morning. Would say as sharp as Kai but smoother. Can't wait to try the Swedish and lux.

The Yellow/Green pack of SuperMax stainless are good for one, maybe 2 shaves.

Avaliable for just under 9.00 per 100 at that site that sells everything.

If I was going to use blades only once, I would choose an inexpensive variety, to save some money. As it turns out, a number of my favorite blades just happen to be inexpensive. Astras always give me good shaves, so I bought a 100 pack for $9.99 on Amazon. Voskhod and Rapira are also favorites of mine. They are very cheap, but shave wonderfully.

Of course, blades are a personal thing. What works for one man does not necessarily work for another. A lot of people love Shark blades, for example, but they always give me a lot of tugging.

Thanks all for the recommendation.
Tried so far
Astra PS
Astra SS
Shark Chrome
Shark SS
SuperMax
Perma-sharp
Treet new steel
Treet platinum
Rapira super stainless

So far the Rapira super stainless have been the best. Smoothness and sharp compare to my KAI and Feather.

I have Rapira Platinum Lux coming from IB, wish more USA sellers carried them.
Anyone confirm that the Rapira Super stainless are the same as the Swedish SuperSteel. Found some post saying same blade just different package.

I agree with that conclusion about Rapira. The Platinum Lux are the only ones that will find their way back to me one day.

As for one and done, I would say you may as well go cheap and with Astra.

Not many retail outlets (if there are any at all) sell both Astra Super Stainless and Rapira (either Platinum Lux or Swedish Supersteel).  But ItalianBarber sells 50 (ten 5-packs) of Astra Superior Platinum (Astra SP, not Astra SS) blades for $9.99 (20 cents/blade); and sells 100 (20 5-packs) of Rapira Platinum Lux blades for $15.99 (16 cents/blade), or 100 Rapira Swedish Supersteel blades for $14.99 (15 cents/blade).  Shavenation sells 100 Astra Superior Stainless (Astra SS) blades for $16.99 (17 cents/blade), a dollar more than ItalianBarber’s price for the same quantity of Rapira Platinum Lux blades.  Between Astra and Rapira, then, the cheap alternative for one and done appears (to me) to be be Rapira.

Ya I have a 100 pack of Rapira Platinum Lux coming from Italian barber for $16.49 shipped. But I will buy them directly from Russia next time. Only $10 box 100 shipped, just have to make sure I have a month supply still. Delivery time from Russia is 4-6 weeks.
IB is on a bad Side with me, selling me a BLEM ikon sold as new and then making me pay shipping from US to Canada. Plus this purchase not going so well today will be 3rd business day and hopefully it will ship today. THANK GOD Amazon sells my RazoRock soaps.
