St. James of London Black Pepper & Lime is nice. It is more on the clean side, than spicy, however.

There are a number of soaps and creams out there with black pepper in them.  Mike's Orange, Cedarwood & Black Pepper comes to mind, although I have not tried it. DR Harris Windsor has vetiver and pepper, but again, its more of a clean scent. As for spicy, there are many directions that you can go with that. Sandalwood can be spicy, if you are into that. Bay rum is always classy. For something more exotic, you can get Frankincense and Myrrh scented soaps from Mystic, Stone Cottage, and a few others. If you like tea scents, Strop Shoppe's Russian Tea is very nice. Barrister and Mann makes (or used to make) a soap called Winter Spice, and another called Dickens. I haven't tried either, but their descriptions sounded nice.

I'm exactly the same, real organic black peppercorn, milled freshly infront of you; can't beat it. I would suggest:

Midnight & Two - The Cabin
Mikes- Orange and black pepper
Tabula Rasa- Olibannum

For a lighter spice, more amber with spice, you can't go wrong with icolonialli.

I haven't tried SC Courage which may be peppery.

Also, Penhaligon's Blenheim Bouquet is a nice spicy citrus. Can get in cream or soap.

Two hard soaps that lather very easily, both from The Los Angeles Shaving Soap Company:   Bespoke #1 Shaving Soap and Topanga Fougère Shaving Soap.

To my knowledge, LASSC does not sell hard soaps.

Topanga Fougere is definitely spicy, though. It's quite floral, and woody, too.

I Coloniali Mango is pretty good, not sure if you friend likes heavy scents because this one can linger a bit, but it's a pleasant scent. Sweet with subtle hints of pepper.

No stock remaining but the SV Flying Mango TSN LE soap has a peppery scent to my nose. Solid performance as well and something that may be available via BST.

Soap Commander Courage is one of my favorite all round soaps and has middle notes of peppercorn, albeit subtle.

I would say DR Harris Windsor as well. Fanatic performer, available as a stick or bowl refill. They last a long time too, based on my current consumption and some threads elsewhere.

Yann Vasnier, the genius behind a few scents including Tom Ford's Santal blush, explains quite well why peppery scents are slightly ambiguous in the market (approx half way through the video)

As mentioned before mikes orange and pepper and midnight & two the cabin are the most peppery to my nose.
