Hello gentlemen. Today I am going to make a review about my long-awaited shaving soap, Molton Brown.

The soap is mainly based on coconut and palm oil . Its main promise is being moisture rich and also soothing.

You may feel the quality of it right away after opening the box. It is brighter than many of the similar white soaps, a fairly hard and barely scented product. Mostly citrus notes on top and you may feel some floral tones as well.

After my big disapointment of the Crabtree and Evelyn's Sandalwood soap, I put the MB inside the nice mahogany bowl of it. It makes a perfect match

I managed to make a nice creamy lather after some 15-20 seconds and possibly enough for a 3-pass shave.

After the face lathering, the scent comes out a little more strong, anyways this soap is not a scent bomb like Penhaligon's or Creed counterparts, but it is deep and characterful. It feels comfortable, thick-creamy and slick enough to glide a Mongoose like a snow sled on ice. It well lasted for 3 passes.

After the shave, it feels like you apply some moisturizer to your face, and it left some scent as well.

I may easily suggest this product to everyone.

Great to see they've changed their formula to something that works. This is the first I've heard of a MB formulation lathering properly. (Careful, fellow buyers, about previous formulations!!!)

Welcome! Thank you for sharing.

$15 on the Molton Brown US site, seems pretty average. It is a handsome soap though so you have to figure you are paying something for its good looks Confused

I have this soap and agree it works pretty good.  I also have the matching post shave balm, and found it very weird how it does not match the scent of the soap.. Found the post shave more or less unscented, even tho according the website they should have the same notes

Given the plethora of shaving agents you've tried, hovering anywhere near 30 would be quite an impressive rank.Smile

A solid shaving soap, nice fresh scent. But not impressive performance wise, but solid.

Given the price tag, I would consider other shaving soaps before this.

I got the refill, and I could still buy 2 Cold River Soap Works Select for that price and get far better performance.

Actually the refills are about the same price according to their websites

I bought mine in Denmark, where the refillprice is the same as a full Truefiit & Hill pot of shaving cream
