A new arrival! The "Sprite" is the PRC short version of their most basic razor offering named the "Siren". The Sprite has a 2" length blade at 6/8" quarter hollow with a round tip. A very clean and functional shave tool. Pics for your enjoyment!

I've been eyeing the Sprite for a bit.  If anything is going to get me to pull the trigger on straights, its that one.  Your pics are NOT helping me refrain, Ed!!!!

That's one hurdle I have not been able to overcome.  I have lots of respect for straight razors and users. Smile

I love shorty blades, as well as Portland Razor Co. Since I live in Portland, I've visited their shop a couple of times, and the owner and others working there are very welcoming and take the time to show you around and answer questions. I've found their razors a joy to use. Congratulations.

To the OP.  I have been a customer of PRC as well.  Scott & Hunter are great razor makers and their product is second to none as far as US razor artisans go.  I have a customized Kraken I had made over the summer and I am looking hard at their new artisan series for sure!  They make the most uniform edge and one of the best edges I have seen in a razor other than maybe a fine German.

You certainly have a fine razor and if this is your first............it will certainly not be your last!!!  Sorry to level that bad news on you! Biggrin

Not going to steal your thread but here is the custom they built for me.  I had black with slight blonde streaked buffalo horn scales with extended jimps along the top of the spine.  It is a Kraken which is a French point.

You will absolutely love your PRC!

It is a good thing that I can no longer use straights.  If I could, I would have to buy one of these.

I bet this pup shaves well in the hollows. I have yet to purchase a shortie. The Japanese seemed fond of their different razor blade lengths to achieve different aspects of shaving.

Gorgeous razor. I know next to nothing about straights, but I've been following PRC on Instagram for a long time. They will be my choice when I decide to give straight razors a go. Congratulations!

What are you waiting for? Straight razor shaving is great! Who knows, next you might be making a Blackbird straight razor. Wink

Mainly I'm waiting for all my money to not be tied up in hunks of metal sitting at the machine shop. Soon enough.

OP, how do you find shaving with the short Sprite compared to a full length straight?
