It is well documented that the Wolfman razor is superb but I would like to focus on the maker.
For any of you that have had the pleasure to talk to James direct will understand what I'm saying. James has created a masterpiece in my opinion and is as humble a man as you could ask for. For everyone still on the wait list I can speak from experience but upon the arrival of my razor I felt not only through communication but in packaging and presentation that James made the razor for ME. What I mean by that is I assume James could crank these bad boys out but his attention to detail and exquisite fit and finish offer the feeling that your razor was made just for you and not mass produced. I think this type of artist deserves a big pat on the back because he has broken new ground on what the capabilities of a DE razor can be and is a true pleasure to deal with.

Cheers James Cheers

Totally agree with everything said. And it should be mentioned that his communication is first rate. I had probably 30 emails with him and he responded to each one within minutes. Not much else to say about the man but he truly cares about his customers

Threads like this are why I continue to wait patiently for my number to come up. I have 110% confidence that it will be worth the wait and cost, and if it isn't then James will go the extra mile to make it right.

Absolutely agree - from my first interaction with James (back in March - before the onslaught of the wait list).
Ironically he does not mass produce and explained to me the great lengths he goes to with all the polishing.
His customer service, rapid response along with his willingness to customize (blade gap, handle length, etc) - is refreshing.

When there is discussion about hype and product living up.

There is no hype here, the product speaks for itself.
A testament to the craftsman behind the product.

Everyone! Please stop sending him emails so he can work through his waitlist more quickly! In all seriousness, he can take all the time he needs. I look forward to having my name added to the list whenever the time comes so that my lone Wolfman will have a sibling.

I agree with everybody has said. Quality is superb, his passion goes into every razor.. some people are talented some people are good communicators but James does it all. James shows great balance in his work and communication and it shows in the great balance in his razors.

My number was called and I have two all aluminum razors headed to me with an extra handle to interchange with them.  His communication throughout the process was lightning fast and thorough.

Why the WR1-DC (Dual Comb) is less popular than WR1-SB (Solid Bar) and WR1-OC (Open Comb)?

In theory, the WR1-DC (Dual Comb) more universal head, but isn't in demand.

What I've seen is some get the dc to make up their minds and then get what they like (sometimes both). I know I tend to prefer sb so I went straight to that and am very satisfied.

Is there any word on when he'll open up his waiting list?

As of July 1st, he wouldn't be taking new orders for "several months."

Same boat here, ordered mid June and still waiting for an OC head. Should be nearing the end of a very long, probably unexpectedly so, list.
