11/18/15  The first batch of Vetiver & Oakmoss is sold out!  I've made a second batch of 24 pucks that will be ready to wrap in about a week, and that will be it for this particular vetiver oil.

As promised, I’m letting the ShaveNook know about the new fragrances before putting them on my website.  I’m not calling them limited editions (except this particular version of Vetiver & Oakmoss), but they are more seasonal scents than some of my more year-round fragrances.

Egyptian Dragon
is a warm blend of dragon's blood and myrrh resins and a touch of clove, with floral notes of rose and jasmine blending into a base of musk, patchouli, vanilla and amber.  Despite the floral notes, this is not a feminine scent, but it is warm and inviting.  Fragrance oil, with lanolin.

Gingered Cranberry Pear
is lighthearted and fruity, with about the same degree of sweetness as my Sardinian Honey.  It’s a delicious fall scent and has been selling really well as a bar soap at my farmer’s market booth. Fragrance oil, with lanolin.

Teakwood & Cardamom
is another woodsy/spicy one with both essential oils and fragrances – it is a sandalwood type scent, with lanolin.

I know several of you have asked for a vetiver scent and I’ve been playing around with it lately.  One experiment that smelled great in the bottle didn’t wow me in soap so I’m still working on it.  I may send out samples with orders and get your take on it.

I’m late to the party with a Pumpkin Spice this year, but I’ll make a batch to have ready by Thanksgiving.

Update 11/17/15:  Pumpkin Spice and Vetiver & Oakmoss have been added to the website!
Update 11/7/15:  Lilac is being restocked for those who missed it the first time around, and I made a completely unexpected goat milk soap with colloidal oatmeal. The scent is a little like marzipan right now.

To answer a few questions at once:  They are the same price as my other soaps.  These three are made with phthalate-free fragrance oils but the new goat milk soap that I will make soon is going to be essential oils only.  Anyone who wants to order in the next couple of days can send me an email (michelle@mysticwatersoap.com) with their shopping list and I'll send you the invoice directly, or you can wait until the weekend and order online.  I don't try to replicate well-known perfumes but can use them as inspiration and ideas for blends on a simpler scale.
