Just wondering if any of the Artisans or online vendors have had Black Friday deals in the past? Was hoping to go on a little shopping spree to pick up some new stuff. Biggrin

Maggard had one. Really everyone just gives out just a token discount though.

If you feel the discounts isn't deep enough, it is probably the prices are pretty low already - a vendor has to make a living too, and that means turning a profit.

Exactly!  A discount is not a right. Don't like the price?  Go elsewhere, it is call free market.

Not sure anyone was criticizing the discounts, so that comment seems a bit out of place.

To respond to the OP, yes there were many Black Friday/Cyber Monday deals last year. Keep an eye out on social media for what your favorite artisans are doing this year.

You guys are leaping... My line of reasoning is -- don't worry about discounts because they're just token anyways buy when you want it or need it.

Anyone that does deep discounts is just because their regular price is very high. Think jCpenney which will price jeans for $89.99 and have them 50% off. Sales Everyday... They tried the everyday low price and it was a huge failure. A news report found that it was actually cheaper under the couponless program but people just like to be fooled into thinking they're saving more.

One of them offered Black Friday free shipping last year, plus some token discounts here and there. You are likely better off looking for everyday good deals rather than getting sucked into any Black Friday or Cyber Monday hype.

I like the idea of vendors offering discounts at their discretion. For me, a % off, or free shipping offer is often the push I need to place an order I might not otherwise have placed.

Every now and then a vendor will offer a particular favorite product of mine at a discount.  When that happens, I stock up knowing that I would be buying it eventually anyway.  Free shipping isn't usually enough to get me to bite since I always try to hit their free shipping minimums anyway.  But if a vendor offers one of my favorites at a decent discount, I'm all over it.
