I just got some Oriental Plum... Smells great and a test lather showed that it burst into think lather very fast! Looks like it will be a great latherer, I will know more after I shave though. I hope it is slick with good face care.
It has No tallow? It burst into lather so fast I had to check the ingredients again! WOW
What about other scents? You guys tried them?
Anyone found a bowl for these smaller pucks?

Calani are very good artisan shaving soaps.I sometimes dont even think as Calani as an atisan made soap, but it is.Cathy have done a great job creating the shaving soaps.Classic Havana and Cadre Noir are my absolute favorites.Iberische Sonne is perfect for hot days/summer.Lavender smells really good too.
Enjoy them.
Enjoy them.

I recently conducted a small group-buy for the portuguese forum. There ya go:
Iberische Sonne smells like oranges, a very nice scent for the Summer. Dubai smells more exotic, and the same goes for Malabar, two wonderful scents. The Bay Rum is awesome too.
Eis Engel smells a bit like cedar, but it is a very discrete scent.
Classic Havana reminds Tabac, but a bit more refined. And Highland Honey, well... smells like that: honey!

A wise choice, I am sure you'll like it a lot.
My Calani's are in a zip loc container.
Something like these:
Also the Ikea Grundtal come in recommended:
I do not have these myself but I understand they are magnetic also?
Yes, they have a small magnet at the bottom. I have several of those.

Well, Catherine (the artisan soapmaker) describes Malabar as a mix of cardamom, saffron, cinnamon and neroli.
All I have is a small sample of that soap, and I personally cannot feel or smell each of the individual scents, 'cos the result is a quite complex, warm, spicy and exotic scent.
But one thing is for certain, in my next order from her, Dubai and Malabar will surely be in the basket.

I LOVE dubai. It's my favorite scent of her line. If its even remotely similar, I'm sold.
My only hesitation is I bought Gentlemen, and its described as having spice and woods, but it just smells like soap. Some of them are super strong, and others, like the gentlemen, have very little scent

I have every scent in their line up but the Oriental Plum and Dubai are probably my favorites. As for performance, they're obviously very consistent. I find, just like any other soap, I'm partial to the Old Spice mugs. Anyone on the fence about these should submit their order...I highly doubt you'll regret it.
