To all those past and present that took the oath, put on the uniform, and served, thank you. Happy Veteran's Day. God bless you.

This day always brings back memories of my late father and grandfather.  My father served in Europe with the Tank Corps from Oct. 1939 to Oct. 1945 (Including D-Day), whilst my grandfather served with the infantry on the Western Front from 1915 to 1918.  The good part is that they both made it home unscathed, but sadly after arriving home my grandfather died of the Spanish Flu.

Interesting. My daughter asked me if "Happy Veterans Day" is an appropriate greeting. I advised her to say, "Thank you for your service."

I know for me and probably everyone else even someone ackowleding Veterans Day is enough for me. Don't get me wrong I'm not saying I look for people to pick me out and say something ,I'm just saying that just the fact of someone saying anything about veterans day vs oh the banks closed must be a holiday.

Happy V-day belated to my Brothers and sisters that put on the uniform as Soldier, Marine, Airmen, Sailor, or Coastie.  Events in Paris put our service in sharp focus as we oppose evil around the world!

Terrorism has the opposite effect these cowards think it will. My condolences to any of our members that may be in Paris or have family or friends over there.
