Before I begin, I understand many discontinued items gain hype for that very reason, they're hard to come by. I started wet shaving in mid 2013 and it took me about a year to develop my preferences. By this time many of these items were extremely hard to come by and very expensive. These are the items I wish I would have acquired before they became almost impossible to find. What are yours?

M&F large L7 - I consider this brush discontinued because I cannot for the life of me get Lee to respond to my emails. I had two in route to me, 3 months later I emailed Lee and he never sent them and refunded my money.

Rooney Finest - these rarely come up and when they do the prices are ridiculous or the bidding is fierce. But they exhibit the characteristics I prefer in brushes: two band, fan shape, crazy backbone and they are aesthetically pleasing; especially the M&F stubby with Rooney Finest hair.

Original Razorock xxx - I would have loved to stock my den with this value priced ADP. Now if they ever become available they are slightly less expensive than going to Neiman Marcus and buying the $75 jar.

Weber DLC - I was lucky enough to acquire this razor, but I had to shell out a small fortune! Luckily the razor is a winner in my book delivering very efficient and smooth shaves. I posted a WTB about a year ago and a member sent me a PM while I was sleeping saying he was about to post his DLC but wanted to give me a chance to buy it first. If I remember correctly he was only asking around $100. By the time I read the PM the next day, the razor had sold on BST.

Kiehl's balm. I've told reps in the stores that I'd love to see it brought back, but I've been told there doesn't appear to be any hope of that.

AoS tallow...not impossible to find but I wish I would have picked up a few more scents back when they were in stores.

Weber DLC and ARC...missed the ball on these when they were available, although I acquired them later. I would have picked up a few more.

Cobra classic...not technically discontinued, but I wish I would have picked up two more backups when they were less expensive and seemingly easier to come by.

Rooney Finest...totally missed the bus on this badger.

Older Pens tallow formulas.

Simpson 2 band silvertip...one of my favorite badger hairs. Again, not impossible to find or obtain but I wish I would have picked up a few more when prices were lower and they were a little easier to obtain.

If only I knew then....Tongue

La Toja Manantiales soap. Took me a couple of years to track one down and I'm glad I did.
Really is one of the best soap I've ever had the pleasure to use.

Original  P160 is pretty damn good too.

The Barrister & Mann small pucks that they used to have. They were the perfect size to fit in my soap mug.

Tradere OC or, at the very least, the handle.

+1  re "jodypress" on:  La Toja Manantiales soap, I bought three (3) of these now down to the last one. And two (2)) tubes of the Original Xpex shaving cream again down to one.

Oh yeah I also forgot to mention the Rooney Heritage stubby 3XL. I cannot believe I ever sold that brush. I've seen a couple come up on BST, none of them had a knot on par with the one I had!

+1.  Somehow I missed the announcement and by the time I found out it was too late as everyone had sold out.

Which prompted me to pen this poem:

Downing's Floid Blue Lament

No more Floid Blue
And nothing I can do
Hard to believe but true
Yep, they pulled the plug
on old Floid Blue.

I'll be here all week.  Don't forget to tip your waitress.

I promise -- you're not missing anything with the B&M Roam.

Merkur Open Comb HD.  I like OC's, and I can't ever find one.

A New Forest Tubby 2 - I had a chance for a fan shape one once, the knot was shipped by mistake. I missed out on that one by minutes.

Here you are: Merkur 11C
Move fast, hope you finally get one. Wink

I like the Merkur open comb head, but it's very mild.

About the thread, there is no such product for me. There are too many that can fullfil the gap.
