@wreck / fish  It seems lately your pics aren't coming through. I've noticed this in a few threads here.

I've really been enjoying the Blackbird this week.  I started out with my favorite GSB in both the SB and OC.  Great shaves, but not as efficient as I like.  Swapped out the OC with a feather and it has really hit the sweet spot for me.  Usually I don't like feathers, but the geometry of the Blackbird seems to work well with them and keep them from being too aggressive for me.

That looks good with the Weber handle. How well does the finish on the Blackbird head match the Weber handle?

I'm confused by all the talk about switching out the handle of the BB. It's maybe the best grip and is the best look, IMO.

Matt, i have to agree .. i have had my polished BB since April 2016 and love the handle (i have the original 101mm long handle), have never even considered trying any other handle as i like it so well ..... perfect example of YMMV

EDIT 12/3/17 .. just for the heck of it i tried a Timeless TRH3 handle on my Blackbird this morning and i really liked it alot !

For me it's not a comparative point.  I like the original BB handle and agree it's very grippy.  But I like the aesthetics of the bulldog or Rockwell handle on it.  Personal preference for sure!

Both my weber and Rockwell handle go well with the finish of the machined BB.

Thank you sir!
I have the machined BB with both plates and LOVE it and I have no doubt the polished will get just as much love from me.

Love seeing that message. (Especially when it's earlier than they originally said.)

This thread needs a bump! Introducing the new Jet finish. Each piece is polished to perfection before being coated in a deep mirror black. The finish increases durability and, clearly, sex appeal. We have a limited number of Blackbirds in this finish in stock. Pricing and a release date will be announced soon.

The Jet was scheduled for public release on 10/20 noon EST, but the website says they're all sold out already? Huh
