I'm fortunate to have a battery of razors including BBS-1, Wolfman OC, SB, and DC. Timeless OC and scalloped SB in .68 and .95. I find my long handled Blackbird OC, and my SB with a Triad handle to be equal to any razor I've ever shaved with. The long handled OC was love at first shave.

Very fair and accurate on the YMMV front. I have many of the "high-end" stainless razors. I will be using my BB SB for the third time in a few hours. This razor was grooving and rocking right off the bat, for me. That being said, my other selection of stainless razor are also superb and in general, they quality of shaves for all my selective stainless razors are excellent.

As far as I'm concerned, the BB razors are world class, all around. My SB Blackbird has shaving characteristics that are unique to itself.....

I have said this before and will say it again - I have tried wolfman and other high end razors - blackbirds razors was the only one which gives a perfect shave without any effort!

Hi Shane will you ever have another 100mm handle again

It's more than likely. I'm less confident that the 70mm will make a return.

I enjoy my 70mm handle, but I like to hold the bottom of the handle, so I can see where it might not work for others who like to hold it higher. I do think a shorter handle is a good option though, but maybe a 3in handle like the ATT Atlas. I have the 85mm handle and I never use it because it's too long for me.

After having tried so many beautiful handles, I have to acknowledge that the Blackbird 101mm is one of the best handles I have ever used and I hope Shane starts offering them, again.  Shy

I do have a few 70mm handles in the machined finish left and I believe a handful in black oxide. Anybody who wants one can shoot me a PM or, for a quicker response, an email to shane@blacklandrazors.com.

I have the 85mm handle and the 101mm handle.  I normally prefer the longer handles but I have found the 85mm handle to be more than satisfactory.

I'll take a 101mm handle

I strongly prefer the 85mm handle.
YMMV.

Do you find any drag with any of the razor heads in any finish. I really love the way it shaves except I feel drag with every different finish which I don't like

I have machined finish only at this time; no drag.
It's a very efficient and smooth razor.

I have the black oxide and I only notice drag if I have too much of the top cap on my face.

All three finishes here. No noticeable difference nor any drag that I could notice.
