Had a llousy shave this morning.  Not sure if it was due to and older blade or trying AoS lemon cream.  IVe always heard good things about AoS cream. Been trying some creama lately due to time constraints.

Sorry to read this.  Most of the time when this happens to me, is because I am in a big hurry.  I don't blame it on the blade because I don't use a blade more than twice, but if I am in a hurry, it will do it all the time.

Never tried AoS cream, so I don't know if that is the problem.  I'll say the time constraint situation can do it to you.

I had my fifirst shave with AoS cream this am. It did not go well. Could be because of an older blade but I'm llooking for thoughts.?  Is it a decent enough cream or should I move on.?  Just didn't seem very protective at all.

It is a good cream. Try it again with a new blade.

It was your first time lathering this particular cream, chances are you didn't lather it how I likes to be lathered.

I have never used this particular cream, so I would try it again with a new blade to see how it goes, this time.
I don't see what else it could have been unless your technique was off since you were rushing.
Good luck.

A dull blade can do it for me and if that happens mid shave I change the blade. To prevent this I only use my blades for 3 to 4 shaves (Kai).

new stuff in a hurry is a setup for a mediocre shave. If you need an excuse...

Most of my experimentation is done on weekends, when I have time to fuss with things and start over if I have to.

AoS cream is fantastic in my opinion, and it practically lathers itself in my experience.  Give it another shot.

AoS is my top cream. Chalk it up to a bad day, dull blade or user error.

Curious about the time constraints comment. With a good soap, it's load for 20 seconds and then go to the face with it. I can't see a cream being that much quicker.

Maybe it's me or my water but in my experience under lathering is a recipe for disaster.  For me, my heavy growth with my water i find it takes a good while to properly build a good lather from soap.  I can build it quicker but that for me leads t a mediocre at best shave.

Ill take another shot with the aos fr a little while. I do after all have a tte big tub of it.

Also with cream there is no loading time. It saves a couple of minutes.

I had a lousy shave this morning too. It was my fault and here is why:

Rushed making lather

Too little time for a proper shave anyway

Didn't shave yesterday so stubble was thicker

THOUGHT I had a Derby in the razor, so I was shaving quickly and with more pressure...when I opened the razor to dry the blade...there was a new feather in there...

Overall a barely SAS shave on a Saturday morning.

But tomorrow will be better, my friends Biggrin
