I tried it once. I would just remove it from my razor every 2 or 3 shaves, and run both sides of both edges against my pant leg five or six times at a very slight angle. The blade lasted about two weeks. Otherwise, they last about 5 days. It didn't give me a like-new edge, but it was definitely workable.

I wouldn't do this with DE blades. Too much chance of problems.
However, I do palm-strop my SE blades and it seems to keep them going for 15-20 uses. Note, I don't do a 3-pass shave every time. Sometimes the SE razor is only used for touch-ups.
Edit: To palm strop an SE blade, hold it in your dominant hand by the 'spine' - in between your index finger and thumb and then quickly strop over your off-hand palm, flipping it over each time.
