Wow. So now you have the new version, you can just send me the old "outdated" one as you'll have no use for it, right? LOL!!!

Really Lovely looking razor.

Cedric is on my list, but I typically get to his store too late to buy his latest creations. His ability to tackle difficult shapes is amazing. Actually, I believe he would tackle anything in the shaving world; Cedric's SKAli series are crazy good. I have to say I'm envious of you Jamie as both shown are beautiful razors.

Beautiful commissioned work Jamie love the visuals Damascus finish has, gives it its own character and that definitely stands quite well next to Hoshi Tombo 8000 which inspired it! Maybe I'm not familiar with the process but 500 layers is quite high isn't it, as modern knives I've seen are significantly less from what I've read.
This is a very beautiful add to your 14 day razor case Smile

Jamie, that's one of the most stunning razors I have ever seen. Cedric is a master craftsman, and possibly the best living razor maker. You also did a masterful job with your specifications. Congratulations. I can't wait to hear your reaction after your first shave.

Nice indeed!  Those scale shapes are very much like the artisan razors at PRC (not exact but close).

Jamie the 8000 has been my Holy Grail razor for years.  I had my eyes on one, and even had a deal almost closed when the seller sent it off to someone else...  Sad day that was.

I never though of having one of similar design made.. just never dawned on me.  Now that I know Cedric has it down, I may have to have it done.

Absolutely splendid rendition..  Enjoy it!

Cheers Mike,

You won't be disapointed if you wanted Cedric to make you a clone, before I contacted Cedric I made detailed drawings and measurements taken off my original Hoshi Tombo then I contacted Cedric he took a good look and said yes he could produce the razor, the only difference being the grind on the custom is half hollow and the original is a quarter, but he did say If i wanted a quarter hollow he could make it, I think the reason behind the half hollow is it shows up more of the 500 layer hand forged Damascus, still it's a wonderful shaver.
