I just ordered a Fine "Stout" brush. I can't wait to try it since it is a different size than any other brush I have used. It has a 24mm knot and 46mm loft. Anyone else try this brush?

It's great for the price, just wish it had a tad more backbone. But it sure is soft

Did you try the "Stout" brush?

I have it and love it. More backbone than the 20mm.

Their 20mm knot seemed a bit small for my liking. I'm very anxious to try the 24mm. On their site they say the size is in between the Chubby #1 and Chubby #2. Of course different bristles on them.
It should be an interesting experience.

I had my first shave with the Stout brush today. First of all I found the size it is does not quite match up with what it says on the Fine site. I measure the knot size at 24mm which is what they say but the loft I measure at 52mm (the site says 46mm) which is still quite stout. The over-all size is 93mm.

It lathers great and has enough backbone to make me happy. This will have a lot more backbone than the other Fine brush. I used it for face lathering today. I will try it for bowl lathering on my next shave. It is great brush and I think for just $25.00 it is a deal. It is a nice stout brush and makes a nice addition to my shave den.

Ron, your picture is better than the one on the Fine site.  The handle looks duller on the site - they should use yours!

Thanks. Actually I took an even better picture yesterday. This one is a bit sharper.
