A head's up for Fusion fans: a new cartridge with encircling lube strip, coming in January. Google "Gillette ProShield" for a look-see.

great! always fun to see what i will never have. soon the newest gillettes will look more complex than a formel 1 motor, and this particular model seems inspired by hr giger Biggrin

The only improvement in the Proshield is the addition of a second lubricating strip.  Of course, lubrication strips are unecessary if you prep properly and use a brush with a quality soap or cream.  For this they are charging $5.00 or more per cartridge.  I did a thread on this earlier:

Two shaves in with the Fusion ProGlide, and it does shave closer than the Mach3, or any other razor for that matter. Too early to tell about long-term irritation, but I'm curious enough to ask if those of you who use a Fusion with custom handle would kindly post photos of your razors. Many thanks.
