What are the worst fashion trends of all time? Here are mine in no particular order:
1)JNCO jeans
[Image: jnco%20jeans.jpg]
2) Mullets. These are making a comeback with a modification of short cut sides...

How about the current Top Knot trend for men.

The gym I go to is full of them and they all seem to be attached to A******s.

Thank God I live in rural Maine! I don't get the dubious "pleasure" of seeing any of that ridiculousness. But once in a while we'll go to Wal Mart and notice a Wal Martian.

Well I'm a failure at fashion!

I still sag my JNCO's while wearing my tall white tee while my flowing mullet blows in the wind under my sideways hat. And don't get me started on the number of tattoos I have...

Low-rise jeans. For eunuchs, I suppose.

Aren't there rednecks there with mullets and Jean shorts?

I have tattoos,  none on my face neck or hands but arms are done nearly full sleeves , have my ribcage done and my back and leg. Mine all have meaning and are not just because I liked how they look.

As far as fashion trends skinny jeans is a big one for me ,I don't get it and I never will.

Also the wide brimmed baseball caps . Now I wear a baseball cap 90% of the time but I bend the brim and think the flat wide brimmed ones look ridiculous.

Also the sagging pants, if more people knew the true origin of the sagging pants I think they might not sport it.

This year has another funny fashion trend to me and that's the women wearing the tight leggings and their tops that are basically a Clint Eastwood style poncho. Wife actually bought the poncho shirt deal I'm talking about and we both agreed she looked hilarious..

I especially hate the trend for skinny jeans. I will never understand why men feel the need to wear women's jeans.

I just heard about this at the barber..."Man buns" is what they called it. I don't think I have actually noticed this....it's probably a good time for me to slow down the shaving obsession, put on my JNCOs, tie up my mullet, go out and start paying attention to what's hot today  Tongue

I agree with the skinny jeans and wide brimmed ball caps. Even more so if the hat is turned sideways. Actually had a guy at that use to work at my job came in wearing his wife's tight jeans. They even said something like Juicy on the back. My hand on the Bible on this lol. He tried to argue and swear they were men's jeans.
Hate driving down the road and some guy has his pants hanging off his rear end. If you have to hold your pants up when you walk then please use some common sense and don't wear them. Just want to go up behind them, roll up a towel, and flip it right on their arse.
I don't mind tattoos. Got a few of my own. All are under my shirt. Only one visible goes from top of my shoulders to a little above my collar on the back of my neck. You have to be taller than me to really notice it.

In the end to each their own. I can only imagine what our grandparents and great grandparents feel about what we enjoy wearing.

I'll add Ugg boots, Keen sandals and Crocs. Nothing uglier than these abominations.

But what if he just got them painted and wants to show them off? Can't deny him his moment.

My son (11) wanted a pair of skinny jeans last year, said all the kids were wearing them . We got into the mall and saw a teen wearing skinny jeans with a big pink belt  made for woman with the Shiney mess all over it. I abruptly changed my mind about the skinny jeans, told my son of he could find them made by carhart I'd buy them.  Luckily he got out of that phase real real quick.

Going back to how the older generations view the younger ones . My mom cried and tried to scrub my first tattoo off my arm and it was just on my shoulder. As I got more she eventually came to like them and now she says she doesn't even see them on me anymore.

Like I said I'm double sleeved nearly and have tats on a lot of my body so I try to be tolerant of how other people dress, because I've been there back when tattoos weren't as accepted as they are now.

However my 11 year old wanting skinny jeans with women's belts and hair dye and makeup, no sir and sorry if I'm passing judgment here guys.

I'm raising my son to be a man, and a man's apperance is everything. Polo type collard shirts and jeans that fit the way they were made to fit you Wil never look out of style.

I'll love my son regardless of how he chooses to dress , when he gets old enough to by his own clothes. For now though and I told him this and he agrees that while I'm paying for his clothes he will look and dress in a way that if his grandmother sees him she wont have a heart attack.

The good thing about getting old is:

1.  You don't have to worry about the latest fashion trend
2.  You don't have to run out and buy new clothes every 6 months to keep up with the latest trend.
3.  Your barber doesn't ask you if you want the latest cut out of GQ because he knows a #1 on the side and finger width on top is how you always get it cut.
4.  You don't end up on the this post as an example of what is goofy.  A sideways hat and pants hanging to your knees doesn't make you gangsta....

I tell you what.

Yeah, that's us Ravi. State of the art fashion. But we do have shoes now, it's just that they need to be delivered by mule. :-)

I loved those skirt pants, whatever that weirdness is called.

Tattoos.
It's a free world, and people can tattoo themselves all over, but to me it just looks ugly and degrading.

I will never see the reason behind having a loved family member or deceased partner's name tattooed on your body to honor or remember the person  Huh

A friend of mine once made this rather discriminating remark: A persons number of tattooss is inversely proportional with the persons IQ

Not entirely in agreement with this remark, but still....sometimes you wonder, when you see a guy or girl with huge 50% body covered tatoos......

------

Skinny pants.....

Just looks bad, dictated by one the many fashion dictators out thre to make us throw out all of our old wide pants and buy new.........
It's a lack of proper style in my little world.
But once again, people can wear what they want......I just do not approve of this particular style......or should I say lack of style
