When one have many brushes, sometimes one forget the ones that start it all.  For me was the classic Kent BK-8.  This was my first High End brush.  I used it tonight and had a great shave!

I have forgotten how luxurious, voluminous, and classy, this brush is.  From the shipping packaging to softness of the Silvertip.  No wonder it carries Her Majesty's Seal.

So, which one was your first,  which one is your forgotten one, or the one that started it all?

My T&H Silvertip. Bought it at the (I believe now defunct) T&H store in Chicago some years ago. I'll never sell it.

This one started it all for me with my acquisition of 2-Band badger knots, one of the original WSP Stubby Superfine 2-Band knots.  The handle is no more, unfortunately, as I needed to extract the knot to put into my Oscar11 Rootbeer Translucent C7 handle. Shy

My step brush from the VdH boar that I started with was a Rooney silvertip 3/1. I haven't used it in quite a while but it is a super little brush and I am now inspired to pull it out.

Great thread!

Probably my first nice badger was a Simpson Colonel in best. I gave it to my best friend who uses it still. I picked up the 2 band version of the brush from a member here and use it regularly (this morning in fact).
