I just got my holiday pack of Beaver Woodwright Jolly Roger soap and splash. Looks cool and smells great. This will be my first go with anything Beaver Woodwright. I looked around and can't find much. Just wanted to see if there are any opinions here on TSN.

Did a quick palm lather, easy quick & slick. My hand seemed to dry out after. Is the post shave drying?

I only have the Barnacle Bob aftershave and love the scent. I asked Santa for the matching shave soap for Christmas so we'll see.

I have Ghost ship soap & aftershave and can say the performance is really great on both. Soap to me is superslick.  Unfortunately I'm not too crazy about the scent though. If anyone would like to trade a set of either Barnacle Bob or Davey Jones Soap & AS for my 2X used Ghost ship scent send me a PM.

I've got his Thomas Tew and it is a wonderful citrus scent. I have no issues creating a solid lather and haven't had problems with it drying my skin. A very good product at the price point.

The protection on the Ghost Ship was unbelievable. Right up there with one of my favorite, CRSW. #larryforpres

Yes, performance wise it's a really good soap. The slickness reminded me of Mystic Water soaps

Its a different type lather to me.  It has almost, this extra cushion to it?  I love Beaver Woodwright, I have the following:

Shipwreck cove Soap and Splash
Thomas Tew Soap and Splash
Davey Jones Soap and Splash (incredible spicy, bourbon, sweet fall scent by the way)
Black Beard Soap and Splash
Ghost Ship Soap and Splash
Jolly Roger Soap and Splash (Christmas scent and freaking excellent!!!)
Captain's Pipe soap.

I will say, the soap is very slick and has lots of cushion but the money with BWW is the splashes.  I have very dry skin and do not use any splashes but Kelly's at Beaver Woodwright.  They do not dry out my skin in fact my skin feels hydrated after them so I don't have to use a balm.  Beaver Woodwright is one of my top three artisans with Reef Point and Soap Commander.

I agree 100% on the aftershave! Jolly Roger is fantastic! I pair it with Dickens.

So far I have:

Thomas Tew
Barnacle Bob
Captain Scurvy
Davey Jones
Jolly Rodger
Queen Anne's Revenge
Frankincense & Myrrh

I'd say easily top 4 favorite artisan soaps.  Fantastic performance and uniquely amazing scents.

I can't wait to get some Ghost Ship when available, and pick up the other soaps as well

Captain Scurvy shaved me today and I was extremely pleased, a 10 of 10's. BWW has it all: aroma, lather, cushion, glide and aftershave protection. Wow. And made in USA.

Is Queen Anne's "Aventus" like? Looking at the notes it seems it might be.

For me, it is Aventus like but I would say there are others that are much closer.  It has the notes of Aventus but to me the dont spell Aventus if that makes sense.

I love Beaver Woodright.  So far I have:

Thomas Tew
Ghost Ship
Queen Anne's Revenge

The soap is wonderful, slick and very protective.  I'd have to say BW is one of my favorite soaps.  The scents are great too.  The only let down for me was QAR as I was expecting an Aventus clone and as I mention above it isnt all that close.  It is good though on its own, just dont expect Aventus.  My favorite has been Thomas Tew.  I love citrus and this is a citrus with a woody base that is just fantastic.

I'm also curious about the Queen Anne's, which is one of the few soaps I haven't tried from Beaver Woodwright.  Would it be a nice spring/summer type scent?  If its not like Aventus, what does it resemble?

I got a couple more aftershaves from BWW this Christmas (Thomas Tew/Shipwreck Cove) and they are still my favorite splashes in the world.  They have an awesome face feel and nice staying power for the price.
