Got a tub of Acqua di Parma recently from BST.  I watched a video of it yesterday and noticed that it was whiter than mine -- which is a dark champagne color or almost gold. It still like a very soft soap which I believe is the right consistency.  Should I use it immediately before it goes bad or is it ok?

Is it AdP Colonia? Your color description makes think it might be.
Even if it is Collezione Barbiere I highly doubt it's gone bad, not sure that is even really possible. Definitely try it out.

I haven't used this for 4 years but mine was yellowish/gold. Sounds correct to me.

I would send out samples for testing. That will definitely help. I'll even sign up as the first volunteer.  1oz samples please (for scientific purposes of course.)

Just trying to help clear part of this up-
There was a Colonia (old).
And there is a non-Colonia (new).
But they both say Collezione Barbiere.

Also, I agree that the color description immediately made me think of the old Colonia version.

It does say Collonia on it.  As per another forum,  it has a gold lid.

Went back and the ad says original.  It does look lighter in the picture.

Correct. Another give away is...

Shiny Gold lid = Colonia (older, more fragrance)
Brown Lid = Non-Colonia (newer, less fragrance)

Use it at your leisure, it's supposed to look like that the new version is white in color with a mild scent while the old formula has the champagne color you mentioned and a really great citrus scent

I've tried it and it is wonderful.  I'm trying the 3017 thing starting with Cella.  Didn't want the greatness of the AdP to go to waste because I didn't use it quick enough.
