Have any of the artisan soap makers thought about making candles in the scents that their soaps are? Every single time I have my girlfriend smell a new soap she always says "if this was a candle I'd buy 5 of them!"

Im not sure how different candle scents are from soap scents, but damn, I've never smelled a candle that even comes close to the soaps our artisans are making!

Food for thought,
Tom

Check out Diptyque, they can be found at Saks. Talk about nice scents and all essential oils throughout entire candle.

they may combine one way as a soap, and a slightly different way as an after shave.  But trying to put them into a candle is very different then most think. NOT all things smell the way they do if fire is applied.

True, there are different flash points for each essential oil, but some are pretty low and there are ways to do it. Shaving soaps are usually made via hot process and they are scented with EOs and/or FOs. Diptyque that I mentioned in the post above uses all essential oils for their candles and they smell amazing. We have a couple and I got a few samples of their colognes.

Are you typing in a hurry? Can't make out that second sentence.

try typing on a cell phone.

Before being lit up, some of the scents they made were unpleasant. But upon using the candle, the scents turned from mere backed up toilet, to burning urinal cake next to a clogged toilet
