This is a 24mm Sunrise synthetic knot set in a black Whipped Dog handle.  The loft on thebrush is about 55-56mm, very similar to a Plisson I believe.  The fibers used are also very similar to a Plisson, if not even softer.  Where this brush stands apart from the Plisson, and every other synthetic brush I've tested it against, is the amount of backbone and "fullness" it retains while still having easy splay.  There are no issues loading up soaps and like many other synthetics, this brush whips up an awesome lather very quickly and easily.

I have an identical knot set in an ivory WD handle that I use almost every day, I actually prefer it to my $170 Shavemac Silvertip.  The brush listed for sale here was originally purchased as a backup to my ivory one, so it has barely seen any use.  I decided not to keep 2 of the same brush so I'm letting it go.  Selling for $20 which includes shipping to the continental US.

Does the extra backbone compared to the Plisson knot come from the additional 2mm in knot diameter or because the fibers in fact have extra backbone?
