It being winter I find myself reaching for darker spirits and Bourbon just seems right on cold winter nights. So what's your go to Bourbon?
Please share your favorites and maybe that special bottle that you splurged on.
I always have a bottle of Elijah Craig on my shelf and usually a bottle of Elmer T Lee, or two.

Ps. I added Scotch to the thread title and would also love to hear your thoughts on any other Whiskeys that peak your interest.
Cheers!

I'm a scotch drinker actually and my go to is Johnnie Walker Black, and on special occasions Blue. My favorite single malts are Macallan and Glenmorangie.

My favorite bourbon is Knob Creek.

Awesome, Scotch is welcome too! Right now I'm enjoying Lagavulin 16 and Laphroaig Quarter Cask.
Cheers!

My go-to bang for your buck bourbon is Buffalo Trace. I also really enjoy Noah's Mill, Eagle Rare, and a many others. But for the price, BT is unrivaled, IMO.

I am more of a rye fan as bourbon is just a little too sweet for me.

Most of the time it is Wild Turkey Rye as it is the best bang for the buck at my local stores.  Other ones I enjoy are Bulleit Rye, Michters, and Templetons.

Ahh, Zacapa! I might even like this more than Bourbon!

Had some Blanton's tonight [another BT mash] and likely my overall favorite bourbon. An unexpected pleasure and discovery recently was Hirsch small batch. Solid and a little spicier but not quite to rye. Last night was some Orphan Barrel Rhetoric. I am definitely in the cool weather mode as well Smile

Like my scotches too and have been on a Balvenie double wood kick which I think is a great bridge scotch for bourbon enthusiasts.

Knob creek single barrel for me.  The only other bottles I have are Knob Creek Rye, Crown XR, and Johnnie Walker Blue.

I don't always drink. But when I do, I prefer Knob Creek.

We're kinda limited overseas to what's stocked in the base exchange (unless you want to spend silly money off-base).
I prefer either Bulliet (boubon & rye) or Woodford Reserve.  They don't carry Elijah Craig anymore. Sad

I feel your pain. I'm in a country where alcohol among a lot of other things is illegal. I have my phone though, but guess what taking pictures is forbidden so it's got duct tape over the camera. Gents have a drink for me.

Not a fan of the new Crown XR. The old version in the red box was superior.

Have you tried Crown Cast 16? That is my fave by a good margin. The replacement Crown XO is decent too.
