Is this best suited for face lathering or bowl?

I have a brand new M7 in manchurian sitting on my desk - and after using polo 10 - I am not sure it the experience would be any different ? The loft height seems same as chubby 2.

I have never used a Simpsons M7, but , just about, any brush can be used for either purpose as long as you are content with it.
Try it both ways to see which you prefer.

I only face-lather, so I am completely biased! Good luck, but I believe we need some photos of the brush. Biggrin

I say both. The tulip lip lends to a nice  choke up grip when face lathering, and the barber end of the handle lends to farther down grip for bowl lathering. Any handle is better that a Polo 10, I personally feel a Polo handle is quite awkward for most except Andre the Giant. Anybody want a peanut?

I feel the same way Jeff.  I love my M7s and I face lather and bowl lather with them.  I had the Polo 10 in best with an incredible knot but sold it because the handle was huge and awkward for me to hold.

I love face lathering with my M7. For me, the face feel is both luxurious and invigorating, and I find the handle ergonomically superb. Try it both ways and see what you prefer. Personally, after paying the price for one of those beauties, I want to feel the brush on my face.

thanks guys ! So far I am loving the polo 10 handle...I have medium sized hands and I find it very easy to handle the brush...I had polo 8 - was on the fence about that one but now after using the 10 - i would never go back to 8!

Use it anyway you want.

I face lather exclusively & use it that way. I also have a polo that i face lather with.

Whatever works for you.

Face lather? Bowl lather? It's really all the same as long as the handle and knot feel good to you. That's my take on it anyway.

+2. My sentiments exactly. Fits my XL sized hands very nicely! Most comfortable handle I own.

A Butterscotch M7 was my first favorite brush and it remains one still. Based on its height, I'd guess some would say its better suited to bowl than face lathering. I started out using it with a bowl but within a few months switched to face lathering about 95% of the time.

It looks awesome. I'm pretty sure it'll work either way but IMHO it will make a great face lathering brush.
