I just received My nice and shinny 1959 Gold Fatboy and just love the way it sparkles when I use it, Great Shave . I bought it from
HIBCO Shave Shoppe and they are a pleasure to deal with.I would recommend them , The plating on this razor is flawless and it works like brand new

Hi Graydog, congrats on your Fatboy. To post pics you can click the black square with white "i" and upload your image.

Nice avatar- I have two at home myself!

That one was marketed as the "Executive", seems like I read somewhere that it was  of even more limited production than the standard nickel plated Fatboy, made for Christmas sales maybe?  Mine's a D-3 though

I think D3 was the only quarter the gold-colored Executive was offered.  I think Graydog, the OP, bought a 1959 (E) that HIBCO had replated.

Ah, I missed that it had been re-furbed, HIBCO is unfamiliar to me

Nice razor. The Fat Boy and the Executive are essentially the same razor except for a difference in the knurling pattern (and the gold). I think you're right, that's a gold Fat Boy. Enjoy!

The knurling is like the slim - but not the same (the grip is much better) and mine is more aggressive as well.
Here's mine against my Fatboy and Slim.
