Problem with shipping from US to outside of the US, is that all animal hair shipments must be cleared through US Fish and Game. Since, in the US, Badger is a protected animal, you will need to fill out some forms and pay heavy fees for exporting the badger.

Quote:What is wildlife?

Wildlife is any living or dead wild animal, its parts, and products made from it. Wildlife not only includes mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and fish, but also invertebrates such as insects, crustaceans, arthropods, molluscs and coelenterates.

Quote:Do I need a license to import or export wildlife?

Yes. Generally anyone engaging in business as an importer or exporter of wildlife must obtain a license from us.

Inspection fee of a "Nonlive, protected, Commercial" inspection fee is listed at $189.00.

If you dont go through proper channels, you will be arrested and tried for smuggling illegal wildlife across international borders, which im sure is a hefty sentence.

All in all, you should just try your hand at buying from Mark at Simpsons.

Hope this helps

That only applies to animals harvested in the USA.

No one is going to bust you for one brush ... Trust me I've sent plenty of them to The uk and a couple to Canada. You shouldn't have any problems with a small quantity.

I'm in Canada and have received plenty of brushes from the US. If you're just sending the odd brush nothing will happen. If you're running a brush business and have large scale sales then you might want to look into the legality of it.

Re your reference to, "Do I need a license to import or export wildlife?

Yes. Generally anyone engaging in business as an importer or exporter of wildlife must obtain a license from us."

An individual who participates in a few transactions is not deemed to be "engaging in business as an importer and exporter of wildlife."
The acts of an individual are not deemed to be business transactions, unless such acts constitute a material element of a person's reportable income.

Nice catch, I didn't see that. However. I think you are still subjected to inspection fees. Maybe not commercial, but if noncommercial, I believe its in the neighborhood of $93.

I am surprised it is still here! The price is great and if I didn't just receive a beautiful Briar CH2 in trade from another member, I would have purchased this brush in a heartbeat!!!
