I really wish I had not sold my chubby 2 in best .....after using the Polo 10 and M7, both in manchurian, for about 5-6 uses - I don't think I like the handles. I love the hair, but something is off, maybe I was expecting to be blown away and I just don't feel that way Sad
I would like to know what you would recommend next?

Actually I have that one - have not used it yet. I thought I would be satisfied with polo and M7. I will take it out for a spin now..

If the chubby handle is your style and the manchurian hair works for you I don't think you'll be disappointed.

I own (or have owned) pretty much every handle (and size) from Simpson. My favourite hair grade is (current) Manchurian (I've owned all grades - old and current including the original Manchurian or "extra super" as it was first termed). My favourite handles are the Duke 3 and the Chubby 3. Aesthetically, other handles such as the M7 may be superior, but the Chubby style handle is for me the most functional. I favour the Duke 3 in winter and the CH3 in summer as the warmer weather ensures adequate drying of the significantly larger knot.

It seems you've discovered a hair grade and handle option that you prefer too, so the answers appears simple - CH2 Manchurian.

Although the Chubby is one of the forms of handles I make the most, personally, it is not my favorite shape. I prefer styles like the PJ, M(X), AS3M etc for longer handles, and Beehive style for shorter. But, I used to have extreme carpal tunnel syndrome, and found these styles to be the best for me to hold, and I had dropped Chubby styles quite often (and still do from time to time even after my operations on both hands). The Polo style I also like to be a good one for me to hold. I am really glad we do have different tastes and preferences when it comes to Shaving brushes.

Either get a new Chubby 2 or go custom with a great Shavemac - or BOTH  Wink

Paladin Falstaff sits right between Ch2 and Ch3 size-wise and it is for me one of the most comfortable handles from the "chubby family".

I found that the beehive, tulip 2 and H2 are my favorite handle sizes and styles but my most favorite handle style is Rooney Alibaba. So far on Simpson I like the Silvertip the best, with Manchurian a close second, but my favorite hair is Shavemac Silvertip with M&F Finest next.

Years ago Classic Shaving carried a M&F 3-band hair that was spectacular. I have that in my Rooney Style 3 size 1. Great soft hair and a good overall handle style.

Kav has the answer, I think. If you really don't like them, you can sell them and recover most of your money. Go find something you like. MHO.

Yeah. Selling your brushes and recovering the investment is the best move. Best move closer to the stuff that you already like (Manchurian grade hair) with handle styles that you have always found appealing. It seems that your primary issue is with the longer handles.
