Last September, when I placed an order for Puro Fresco and American Barbershop (I already have Sandalwood, Bergamot & Bay and Prato Verde), I told Larry that I was thinking of declaring 2016 to be my Year of Cold River Soap Works. This morning, I banished all my non-CRSW soaps to a distant corner of the closet Wave1 (I swear I could hear some grumbling from the containers).

Then I broke out the Bergamot & Bay and had a great 2 pass shave to kick off 2016. What a superb soap!

I love CRSW (top-notch soap) but I can't imagine not using the wide variety of quality soaps that I have from many different artisans/manufacturers, for me variety is the spice of life.

To each his own - enjoy!

CRSW numbers 9 and 10 on the One Brand list Pax...just the two of us out of 27 One Branders.

I had committed to Haslinger but after hearing about V2 & Oliva had to switch to CRSW.

V2 soaps ordered and Oliva forthcoming...
Us two New Englanders are going to have a great year Wink thanks to Larry!

That will be a great year, no doubt, but those of us using CRSW, AND MdC, SdM, MWF, Meißner, Castle Forbes, Tabula Rasa, etc. will have an even better one... Wink

I don't think I could do this one brand for a year thing, but I have thought about it and I come to the same conclusion...I have no idea which brand I would choose Sad

I used up most of my soaps, gave my brother 14 pucks of Haslinger, have a few Mystic lying around but had a great start with Spiced Amber. It's going to be a fun year and with V2 & Oliva offerings forthcoming enough variety and thank God less clutter in the den. Lean & mean Smile

I can certainly understand the sentiments expressed, gentlemen.

For me, this will be a year spent with my favorite soap and, with all the of outstanding scents that Larry has created, I'll have plenty of variety. Sandalwood today. Also, with Select V.2 just announced (and Oliva on the way), there's more to look forward to.

VTMAX... I had thought about a year of Haslinger, but as good as Haslinger is (and it is VERY good), I still prefer CRSW.

Will you be dedicating one scent per month, week, or rotating scents daily?

I only own 8 CRSW Select soaps, would be quite boring.
But I respect your decision and commitment.

Claus, can you imagine if we only had Williams soap to use, back then? What would we have done? Biggrin

I really feel with the older generation, Celestino.

They really suffered back then. Having only Williams soap to use must have been a living nightmare, but they never knew it, because they couldn't have known any better back then.

I just received Fougere Moderne, Prato Verte and American Barbershop and love them all.  I have six CRSW soaps now and haven't been disappointed with a single scent yet.  I think the mark of trust for me, is knowing that I can read a description of a soap from Larry, and knowing I can just order it and be confident.  No sample necessary.

I typically just stand in front of the sink and ask myself, "What sounds good today?" (and today, American Barbershop sounded good... and it was).

I understand, Claus. I guess Larry will need to offer more soaps (oh wait, he just did). Building on celestino's comment, back then "only" and "8" would have been a luxury!

Wow, its funny I think I might could perhaps take a stab at a month of a particular vendor, but I've gotten so spoiled now I'd have a hard time, even if it were CRSW, trying to go an entire year.  I'd be curious to see you bring this thread back up in 2017 and see if you're still using CRSW every day.

1 shave in 2 days would make it 182 shaves. If I have 4 soaps 182/4=45 shaves a year with one soap.

If you had every offering from CRSW including the AS Balms, I don't think it would be too difficult using Larry's soaps for one full year. I wish you luck sir, but I don't think you really need it! Enjoy the ride
