I'm sure there is a market for them. If not, I'd be curious to see what they do with them.

They could discount them (seems unlikely given the brand image they are trying to cultivate), take them off the market, or leave them up indefinitely (like the $10k p.160 soap on IB).

Given that it's a limited run, I doubt they'll have to consider any of this, but it's interesting to ponder.

To me it came across as a gift rather than a purchase. Regardless, Ravi is in a small group with that lovely BlackBlade, #062/101. He just needs to watch his back as Batman may come for it.

All I can find is that PVD stands for Physical Vapor Deposition.

wow, that's just stoopid. What's that saying..."There's a sucker born every minute". Pretty much fits the bill for anyone who purchases not just a one blade but any razor for that price or even 1/4 of the price.

Eh. I actually like the shave I get with mine. It's the first razor that has been able to tame the odd growth pattern on my neck with two passes and no buffing.

Value is in the eye of the beholder, but I see this as a quality product.  Worth $300? I have a hard time justifying a cast razor at that price, but around the current sale price? Yessir.

Edit: Today a friend pointed out that the Cobra is also cast, so that apparently isn't a huge negative. It does detract from some of the apparent mystique that comes from an upper echelon priced razor when you see the cast release marks and stamps on the underside.

I think it is cool that high quality items such as this are being made in the USA and I hope they are successful.
