I've struggled with developing facial hair. I have a goatee and then a sparse patchy mess on the sides of my face. I've seen 17 year olds with a fuller beard than I. I let the beard grow for two months without shaving it before applying any sort of treatment. It was a patchy mess. So I shaved it.

I wondered if Rogaine could work so I googled (or rather Binged it) and found a lot of information including before and after pictures of people that had done it. I ordered a 6 month supply of off-brand Kirkland minoxodil. One month after applying it twice daily everyday, I see hairs in the areas that where just barren bald patches. They are quite thin hairs-- like the hairs on my arms but they are something. It will take time as it is a long process But so far I am seeing promising results.

This does work. Granted I've never needed it ,and honestly a full beard is a curse to me but I get where your coming from.

I have a friend that can almost grow a beard ,yet where his cheeks met his goatee he didn't have any hair. He did the Rogaine for about a year and it helped.    Eventually he found another product that did more in 6 months than the Rogaine did in a year though.

Also I'll reach out to my friend ,he was on these Internet groups for guys that were doing the same thing ,like my friend was very consumed by the fact he couldn't grow a beard.

HE put a few different things on it like the Rogaine and he tool some supplements he also grew out what he could under advice from somebody . They told him to just let it grow and keep growing. Granted he looked a little silly until the hair got a little longer but by him not shaving and doing what he did they said that not shaving helped the hair growth. Either way his beard is normal now and no one would know what he had been through.

Very interesting read. I didn't know anything out there even worked for regrowth.

It is the only thing proven by studies to work (other than surgical transplant of course, which hipsters have been getting on their faces BTW). The thing is you have to use it for the rest of your life or you will lose your gains.

Interesting read! And to think, before I got into wet shaving this would be the last thing I would ever do, but now I can understand why one would choose to do it.

I used Rogaine/Minoxodil 2% on my hair - It worked!  I was growing some hair back.  Then I went to 5% which had the apposite effect - My Hair Fell Out where I sprayed it!  If you stop using it your hair will fallout!  If it would kill my beard I might try it again...

Rogaine/Minoxodil has a Long, Long, List of Side Effects that could be dangerous.  The warning/instruction sheet was one those that just kept unfolding and unfolding  and unfolding with tiny print...

Also don't forget to wash your hands or hair will grow on your palms too!  You Don't want to start shaving there too...

Beard Transplants - How do know if it is male beard hair? They could use cheaper lady parts hair...

Kidding aside; I would NOT want some other persons hair transplanted in me....

Tempting!  I have the Minoxodil on my nightstand!  I think I'll give it a try!  I have a few blank spots on my face and could never grow a full beard...

Will you go blind as well? Perhaps one can stop when one just needs glasses
