Gentlemen,

Much has been said about the Mongoose. The razor has exceptional quality and gives a sweet shave. In my case, though, reality has come knocking: arthritis prevents me from enjoying the razor as much as I should. Although I have tried a number handles on my Mongoose, including aluminum, the razor is just a little too heavy for me. That's the reality and that's that. My Mongoose, which has a satin finish, is mounted on the ATT Kronos handle. Despite the good balance from the Kronos, the razor is still a wee bit too heavy for my arthritic hands. I have used it probably about seven or eight shaves; it is in perfect condition. The price, including a cartridge of Feather Professional blades (there should be 18 left) is $180 ($165) shipped U.S. Paypal is fine. No trades, please, and the razor is sold complete. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your arthritis. It's starting to affect me now as well. I'm having trouble holding straights and have resorted to only using plastic cups/mugs.

Thanks, my friend. Until a couple years ago I had an impressive collection of custom made straight razors, all fabulous but heavy, and had to let them go. I hate to let the Mongoose go, but more and more it will sit idle in the rack. It's a great shaver. I am down to the ATT S1 slant and the iKon Shavecraft 102 slant. Both are lighter than the Mongoose, but still heavy enough to be borderline for me.
