I'm curious as to what my learned colleagues here consider the best lavender scented options are out there in both creams and soaps. One vote for a cream, another for a soap.
Let's make it even more interesting and add over and under votes. Best lavender cream under $20, and best over $20. Same with soaps. Have at it boys.

When available, Cold River Soap Works as soap; Castle Forbes in cream.

I'll skip the price categories and numerical restrictions, simply because I tend to prefer the higher end products.

Creams:

Castle Forbes Lavender

Soaps:

C&S Oxford and Cambridge
Martin de Candre (original)

Over $20: MdC, Castle Forbes, Barrister & Mann for Black Label Lavender (if you can find one)

Under $20: Barrister and Mann Latha Lavanda, Mike's Hungarian Lavender, AOS Lavender Cream (no clue what they actually cost, got mine for like $10 on B-Glowing)

I like B&M Latha Lavender

Mike's Hungarian Lavender

and, even though my face couldn't tolerate either of these two, Castle Forbes and MdC

Great responses so far. I have both the C&S Oxford & Cambridge, it's my favorite soap, and MdC so I've done well there but Castle Forbes lavender has been knocking on the door of my subconscious for some time now, guess I'll have to open that door.

Only leavened I've tried at all over $20 which include AoS, MdC, and CF. I likE MdC and CF best and AoS is pretty good scent but I don't like the performance.

Mikes Hungarian Lavender and Castle Forbes are two of my favorites. Mystic Waters "Jeffs Lavender " is also a contender.

As for a cream, you cannot beat Castle forbes Lavender

As for a soap, MdC and C&S O&C are great, as well as Mike Hungarian Lavender (If you can get it) and meißner tremonia lavender delux are great too.

Despite my fear of losing my TSN membership privileges, I'll state I could not tolerate the C&S O&C scent.  The performance is awesome, but the scent was nauseating.

Best soap-

Under $20
Mike's Lavender

Over $20
MdC

Best cream-

Under $20
Speick

Over $20

LOL.  This why there are a couple hundred shaving products including a couple dozen lavenders.  O & C is one of my favorites.  MdC, meh.

My favorites are:

Castle Forbes - best soft cream, strong scent.

Soaps: I'll add my vote for DR Harris's Lavender. It's nowhere near as pungent as Mike's, which I find a bit overpowering. It's also a better soap in my opinion, especially here in the land of hard water. It's a bit milder than MdC, which I also like a lot.

Hahaha!! I find nearly all lavender scents to be nauseating and headache inducing. However C&S Oxford & Cambridge is the only lavender I like. In fact I think it's the only one I currently own.
