I currently own a Simpson Duke 2 from the Somerset-era with a pure badger knot.  I quite like this brush although there is a bit of prickle.  I'm considering buying a shavemac with a fan-shape pure badger knot about the size of the Duke, but with a higher loft.  How does the shavemac pure compare with the Simpson pure?

I have an old Somerset era Rover in pure. I also had in the past a Shavemac pure, and must say they were quite comparable.
Do not use much pure, but always have a few Shavemacs on hand for some customers that like pure, they are very nice knots. Pure always has some scritch, even the old Simpson brush.
