Just saw this on Sue's facebook page:
Is this true? I'm not very familiar with her soaps (I've only tried one of them and it didn't thrilled me), but it is sad to see another artisan soapmaker go away...

Let's not jump to conclusions!

Glad she will continue. IMO, Her soaps are as good or better than any glycerin-based soaps out there. She formulates her own base, sells in tubs and sticks, and offers an unscented for sensitive skin as well.
We've lost a few good soap makers lately - it'd be a shame to lose another.

I have to admit that I was not a fan of her shave soap but I certainly wish her well.
She did get a bunch of orders in, but a lot of that is a combination of sympathy and "stocking up." Unless that bump in business is sustained, the writing is on the wall. With all the new competition from other artisan soapmakers and the decreased popularity of melt-and-pour soaps, I'm not inclined to think that this will be the case.
If you are a fan of her soaps, I'd stock up now.
IMHO of course.

Just curious, what other soap makers have we lost? Seems like more artisans pop up everyday...
The Gentlemen's Quarter - some of the best glycerin soaps and interesting scents around.
My Time Bath and Body - dial your own menthol tallow based shaving 'croap'
Saint Charle's Shave - lead soap maker Sue passed away - though now it is run by her daughter.
Nana June's - this one wasn't around as long.

Bob, don't count out Ms. Krissy just yet. According to her Facebook page she is anxious to get started again. She seems to be getting stronger so here's hoping.
