What a wonderful curvy brush!

I am lucky to have a Size 2 in 2 Band (2012) and a PJ 3 in Super (2015). I am normally not a big fan of Simpson Super as it does not necessarily provide the softness of tips I am seeking. This PJ is notably different: a wonderful dense knot (27/54mm) with super soft tips.

The PJ2 in 2 Band is much less dense, but displays the softness typical for that batch of hair.

Now I just wish I would have snatched up a PJ 3 in 2 Band (I know Jeff has one...).

Any other PJ lovers out there???

I've always liked the PJ3 handle, and would definitely get one if I could find in in Manchurian or 2-band.

I'm a fan. I have a PJ2 in 2 band. Love it.

I I've owned a PJ3 in super and one in manchurian, I kinda miss the super but didn't really like the manchurian, it didn't have enough backbone due to being quite loosely packed.

I too would love a PJ3 in 2 band.

I like PJ's as well. I have a PJ2 in 3-band Super and Dipesh's old Cobalt PJ3 Manchurian. They're great brushes. Smile

Ben, your PJ reminded me picasso paintings and Picasso-inspired John Petrucci Ibanez series. Very handsome!

I'm fortunate enough to also have a PJ2 2 band from a similar time frame, the tips are very soft with just enough backbone but great flow through being that its not overly dense. Would love to find the older brother PJ3 in a similar 2 band.

Thank-you. The PJ is definitely reminiscent of the shape of a guitar. Rock on!  Tongue

[Image: XqFw3vG.jpg][Image: M9YzGRe.jpg][Image: F8HwPg1.jpg]I was in University during the embassy takeover in Teheran. It was international day with food booths from around the world. I noticed my friend Roya ( jewish) in a tight traditional red silk dress with this other Persian girl in an equally close fitting blue silk dress. I walked over past the protest signs and met Fariba( Shia Sufi). I bought 7 servings of kabob and basmati so I could talk with her. Being contrary, we dated after her parents learned I read Hoffez , collected Persian carpets and her Sufi master grandfather thought I was a fellow mystic. Persian miniatures are a treasure trove of inspiration for custom Persian jar brushes. I want one in blue that is easy to hold like faribha was.

Excellent story KAV. Hopefully you find one.

I have a recent addition to the den from a fellow member. It is a SimFix PJ in Manchurian. It is quite a looker at night in the dark with some light behind it to showcase the translucency.

I don't really care for the rounded bottom lip on the Simpsons but it is less prone to chipping the edge and they are comfy to hold. Lots of eye candy above.

There's a giant Penhaligon's branded Simpsons PL over on etsy. Never seen one of those before but it looks like the PJ just taller and skinnier.

Here's the image
