I'm terrible at selling items. It seems like every time I put stuff up for sale, I end up regretting it. But I have a distinct need to raise some money for a purchase, so I must say good bye to these wonderful brushes. I'm usually open to trades, but for this one, I must specify cash (PayPal) only. Thank you for looking!

A couple weeks ago, my shaving bowl broke. It was my own dumb fault, but rather than replacing it, I decided to part with two absolutely phenomenal brushes that I used with a bowl and cream.

Prices include USPS Priority CONUS shipping and insurance. I'll use any other methods if buyer pays the difference in cost.

First up: Kent AP12 Silvertip in Opaque Acrylic - 26mm bulb knot, 70mm loft: $189 SOLD
[Image: NM1pox.jpg]

This is a special edition brush from Kent a few years ago. The knot is made from a select grade of silvertip, and is significantly softer than the hair they use in the BK/BLK series of brushes. I'd go so far as to say this is the softest badger hair I've ever felt in any brush. Also, it's huge. If you like big, soft brushes, this is the biggest and softest. You may be saying "Well, it's only 26mm." That's what I thought as well, but this bad boy has a gigantic 70mm loft, so even if your head is as large and bulbous as mine, you can paint on a whole lot of lather very quickly. It is very densely packed, and holds onto warmth like no other brush I've ever tried. It doesn't have a ton of backbone. It was designed to be supremely suited for creams and a (very) large bowl, although I've had no trouble using it with a hard soap; just requires a little more whisking. This brush was designed to be the epitome of luxury and softness. Not even the slightest hint of scrub or scritch whatsoever. On a cold winter morning, there are few things nicer than a warm wall of saving foam and badger hair on your face.

I don't believe this brush is made any longer, but I found one currently for sale online for $247 plus shipping. I don't have the leather case this originally came with, but if that is important to you, let me know, and I may be able to work something out for one of my other Kent cases.

Next up is another large, soft brush. Savile Row 3126 Super Badger in Faux Tortoise Shell. 26mm fan knot, 59mm loft. $125 SOLD
[Image: o4X6aV.jpg]
I'm not completely sure if 3126 is the correct model number for this brush, but Savile Row no longer makes a faux tortoise shell brush. The handle is style 31, and it is a 26mm knot, so I'm calling it a 3126. Smile I also don't believe that they make a three-band fan, either. That being said, this brush is another very large and luxurious brush. Like the Kent above, this one has no scrub or scritch. It's the same size knot, but with 11mm shorter loft, it does not splay as much as the Kent. It is not as dense as the Kent, either, but it has excellent flow-through and makes a whole lot of really nice lather.

QED currently sells the 3126 in faux ivory with a bulb knot for $154 plus shipping. I traded for it, and did not get a box or case.

I'll happily answer any questions you may have. Again, thank you for looking!

The SR has sold, but the Kent remains. There have been a couple questions about how it compares to the BK and BLK series of Kent brushes.

In short: The AP12 is not a version of the BK12 with a pretty handle. It is a fundamentally different brush. The hair is finer than the BK/BLK series, and it is even a different color. The AP12 has a smaller, more densely packed knot. It also has a higher loft, which makes the brush splay out much larger than the other Kents. Here are a couple proverbial "pictures worth a thousand words."

your right pictures are worth 1000 words in the first pictue of it I did think it was a small brush but now next to the others for reference that is pretty large.

The brush is big. Really big. I would be doing a disservice to the community by not stressing this fact. Here is a picture alongside a couple other popular brushes:

The Kent, in case you missed it, is nestled between a Duke 3 and a Paladin PK-47. Now that I told you, check he picture again. See it now?

That being said, I'll re-state my thesis: this is the biggest, softest brush, pretty much ever.

Oh my, I never considered that. Yes, it would excel at that. I tried shaving my head once and the look did not suit my oversized head...
